Change Your Mind
You look at me and laugh ‘cause I got two left feet.
But that don’t keep me from dancing all the time
And when I play my music, I might skip a beat
Or sing a note or two that’s undefined
But when I’m dancing, singing for the Lord
He don’t see no stutter steps
There ain’t no sour chords
I might seem foolish to you
And all the things I do
Might never win me any Nobel prize
And I might seem weak
When I turn the other cheek
But hang around me long enough you’ll find
He can change your mind
Don’t tell me it’s impossible to make a stand
For something I know in my heart is true
Cause I don’t take my orders, from no mortal man
Don’t tell me what I can and cannot do
Everything is possible through him
And when I step out on the water
I won’t sink or swim
I might seem foolish to you
And all the things I do
Might never win me any Nobel prize
And I might seem weak
When I turn the other cheek
But hang around me long enough you’ll find
He can change your mind
What you seek in His name you’ll find
And it’s spiritual, not logical
And that’s the bottom line
I might seem foolish to you
And all the things I do
Might never win me any Nobel prize
And I might seem weak
When I turn the other cheek
But hang around me long enough you’ll find
He can change your mind
Romans 12:2
Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. (GNT)
